I
strongly believe that our breed should be able to do
a days work and their gait should be without restriction or
compensation when
watched from any angle. Being bought up with and working with horses
until I
started showing dogs some twenty years ago; I was always taught that
any
compensation in movement is due to either construction or injury.
I
also believe our breed should show the desire to
move with purpose and drive, which should not be misinterpreted as the
desire
to chase the dog in front. Sound movers are far less likely to gain
injury or
breakdown, allowing them to do the job they were bred for. I was
extremely
pleased to find all the above attributes in my CC winner.

Mr

ALLENDRIA
DARK JEWELL AT KANESBROOK,
12 months old. Lovely shape with great ring presence, but not
necessarily what
we are used to seeing in gait, so much front extension but equally
matched by
extremely powerful rear drive, could not be faulted coming and going,
when she
matures she will be able to put her immense power to best use to become
a very
powerful and effective trotter and I am sure she will follow in her
sires
footsteps and take many top honours.

1ST,
BCC & BIS,
Miss K Ryder’s HICHELMER
MAKE NO MISTAKE, Well there was no mistake here
that this 3
year old bitch is in such
superb condition and one of the fittest I have had the pleasure of
going over.
I judged her as a puppy and loved her then and I am definitely not
disappointed
now that she has matured. Strong yet very feminine head with good width
between
well placed ears. Darkest eyes, deep stop and correct head plains.
Medium sized
cobby body with deep strong loin, enough bone and balanced angles fore
and aft.
There is no flashiness about her but once she started moving I found it
hard to
take my eyes off of her. Her gait is so positive, harmonious and
unrestricted
producing a very efficient trotter who could easily keep going all day,
coming
and going she could not be faulted either. A credit to her owner and
the breed.

so much my type in shape and form. Strong powerful bitch with so many
attributes that epitomises the Rottweiler to me. Plenty of bone and
substance
complemented by balanced angles throughout, powered round the ring with
so much
drive and animation, unlucky to come up against the limit bitch today
and I
have no doubt she will gain her crown shortly.
2nd
Mr & Mrs NJ Davis’ WELSHMOOR ANWEN AT KAISHAROTTS, 4 years old. The
cleanest and most
feminine of outlines with excellent reach of neck and enough forechest.
Balanced front and rear angles and well muscled second thigh producing
lovely
reach and drive in profile and totally sound coming and going.
